Joy Wunderlich and Matthey Barnes were united in marriage July 15, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington. Pastor Mark Bangert officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony.
Bride’s parents are Kim and Alan Wunderlich, Washington. Groom’s parents are Debbie and Bob Barnes, Chesterfield.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Serving as maid of honor was Clara Wunderlich, Washington, bride’s sister. Matron of honor was Amy Peden, Dallas, Texas. Bridesmaids were Alyssa Castellano, Baltimore, Md., bride’s cousin; Kelsey Staiger, St. Louis; Sarah Holycross, Rachel Holdmeier, both of Washington; Sally Jo Wunderlich, Kansas City, bride’s sister-in-law; and Kathy Clervi, Columbia, groom’s sister.
Best man was Bjorn Miller, Salem, Ore. Groomsmen were Michael Barnes, Thailand, Bobby Barnes, Denver, Colo., Tom Barnes, St. Louis, groom’s brothers; Chris Schunkenbroch, Kansas City; Steve Coon, St. Louis; Alan E. Wunderlich, Kansas City, and Benjamin Wunderlich, Washington, bride’s brothers.
Flower girls were Deanna Delleart and Bree Delleart and Savannah Hallien, all of Washington. Ring bearer was Luke Hallien, Washington.
Ushers were the groom’s nephews Blake Barnes, Denver, Colo.; Cooper Barnes, St. Louis; Nicholas Clevi and Trey Clevi, both of Columbia; and Ian Barnes, St. Louis.
Guest book attendants were the groom’s nieces Reilly Barnes, Denver, Colo., and Sophia Barnes, St. Louis.
A reception was held at the Vineyard at Riverbend Chapel in Washington.
The couple reside in Kansas City.
