Gerald and Linda Hyde, Festus, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Renee Hyde, to Kevin Anthony Marks, Kansas City, son of Christopher Marks and wife Janice, De Soto, and Kellie Marks-Sullentrup and husband Jim, Union.
Amanda is a 2004 graduate of Festus High School and a 2005 graduate of Allied College where she earned an AS degree in medical coding and billing. She is employed as a teacher at Bright Beginning Learning Center, Festus.
Kevin is a 2003 graduate of De Soto High School and a 2009 graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center-Customs and Border Protection Academy. He is employed as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer, Kansas City.
The couple plan an Oct. 9, 2010, wedding at 2 p.m. at the De Soto Church of Christ.
