Rueda-Santos to Wed Koch

Monica Alexandra Rueda-Santos and Gregory Jacob Koch, both of Overland Park, Kan., announce their engagement.

Monica is the daughter of Amparo Santos-Rodriguez and Camilo Rueda-Barrera of Bogota, Colombia. Her grandparents are Didima Rodriguez and and the late Luis Daniel Santos, Bogota, Colombia, and Araceli Barrera and the late Alvaro Rueda, Bogota, Colombia.

Greg is the son of Marie and Dale Koch, New Haven, and the grandson of the late Marguerite and Melvin Brandt, and the late Odell and Harold Koch.

Monica is a graduate of Marillac High School in Bogota, Colombia. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in bacteriology from the University of the Andes in Bogota and a Diplomate in blood banking/transfusion from The El Bosque University in Bogota. Monica received her Master of Science degree in biology from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kan. She is employed as a research scientist at ViraCor-IBT Laboratories in Lee’s Summit.

Greg is a graduate of New Haven High School. He received Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is employed as a software engineer on the Marine Autopilots Team at Garmin in Olathe, Kan.

The couple will be married July 13, 2013, at Grace Church in Overland Park, Kan.
