Margaret Marion Fischer, Columbia, and William Wood Eckelkamp Jr., Washington, were united in marriage June 1, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Washington. The Rev. Mike Boehm officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.

Bride’s parents are James Roland Fischer and Sharon Dobsch Fischer. Groom’s parents are William Wood Eckelkamp Sr. and Marilyn Ann Eckelkamp.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Serving as matrons of honor were Jessica W. Soete, Columbia, and Ashley K. Rickey, Johns Island, S.C. Bridesmaids were Jenna M. Tobben, Washington, Lauren E. DeFoe, Kansas City, and Hillary A. Schneider, Overland Park, Kan.

Best men were Travis D. Straatmann, Washington, and Andre J. Schneider, Overland Park, Kan. Groomsmen were Timothy W. Tobben, Washington, Paul J. DeFoe, Kansas City, and Robert C. Birmingham III, Atlanta, Ga.

Flower girl was Sarah A. Fischer, Piedmont, S.C. Attendants were Catherine M. Pace and Madeline A. Pace, both of Western Springs, Ill.

Ring bearer was John M. Gildehaus, Washington. Attendant was Louis B. Eckelkamp IV, Washington.

Ushers were Jeb S. Maciejewski, Washington, John D. Brueggeman, Wentzville, Matthew A. Merrick, St. Louis, and Corey M. Kuchem, Washington.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Tim Larrison, Cheryl Pecka and The Rosewood Ensemble.

A reception was held at Holiday Inn at Six Flags, Eureka. Music/entertainment was provided by Galaxy Band in the grand ballroom and Bobby Brinker in the tent.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of D.W. Daniel High School, Central, S.C., and a 2006 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in agricultural journalism. She is employed as editor at Farm Journal Media, Mexico, Mo.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School, a 2006 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in business administration in finance and banking and real estate from Trulaske College of Business University of Missouri-Columbia, and a 2010 graduate of the Crobsy MBA Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a candidate for Juris Doctorate in 2014 from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The couple took a wedding trip to Hawaii.
