Hoelscher-Svoboda Wedding Vows Read

Diana Svoboda and Michael Hoelscher Jr., both of Kansas City, were united in marriage Sept. 29, 2012, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Catholic Church in Kansas City. Father Brian Johnson officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.

Bride’s parents are Wayne and Mary Svoboda, Fond du Lac, Wis. Groom’s parents are Michael and Linda Hoelscher.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Serving as matron of honor was Kristina Stokes, Minneapolis, Minn. Bridesmaids were Jackie Bruns, Washington, Nyla O’Neal, Kansas City, Juli Thatcher, San Diego, Calif., and Elaine Gabay, Milwaukee, Wis.

Best man was Brian Kriete, Rolla. Groomsmen were Dan Svoboda, Whitewater, Wis., Neal Hutsler, Kansas City, Sonny Willier, Denver, Colo., and Brian Bruce, Kansas City. Junior groomsman was Owen Bruns, Washington.

Flower girl was Elizabeth Baufield, Sioux Falls, S.D. Ring bearer was Parker Bruns, Washington.

Ushers were Bradley Bruns, Washington, Robby Stokes, Minneapolis, Minn., Dan Wehmueller and Anthony Donnelly, both of Kansas City.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Karen Engebretson.

A reception was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Kansas City Convention Center, Kansas City, with music/entertainment by Michael Lauren Weddings.

The bride attended St. Mary’s Springs High School in Fond du Lac, Wis., and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The groom attended St. Francis Borgia Regional High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Kansas.

After a wedding trip to Europe, the couple reside in Kansas City.
