Carmen Nicole McKinney and James Frederick Akins, both of Pacific, were united in marriage June 14, 2014, at Robertsville State Park. The Rev. Clif McDaniels officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Bride’s parents are Randall and Jackie Ellison. Groom’s parents are the late Casandra Akins and Ronald Akins and the late Ralph Penn.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Serving as maid of honor was Sheena Moore, Pacific. Bridesmaids were Samantha Shuls, Pacific, and Amy Benetin, Robertsville.

Best man was Jim Benetin, Robertsville. Groomsmen were Mike Pemberton, Gray Summit, and Barry Hayse, Pacific.

Flower girls were Peytan and Sydney McKinney, Pacific, bride’s daughters. Ring bearer was Lucas McKinney, Pacific, bride’s son.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Melissa and Devin Bequette.

A reception was held at the Pacific Eagles with music/entertainment by Ryan Poteet.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of St. Clair High School and a 2006 graduate of Hamburger University. She is employed as store manager with FKG Oil Company.

The groom is a 1989 graduate of Pacific High School and a 2010 graduate of American Trade School. He is employed as a correctional officer with the Missouri Eastern Correctional Center (MECC).

The couple reside in Pacific.
