Fair Swine Breeding Results Announced
The Washington Town and Country Fair swine breeding competition was held Thursday, Aug. 2.
The junior division showmanship award went to Nicole Brinker and senior division showmanship was awarded to Weston Romine.
Weston Romine nearly swept the spot breed contest by winning the open show champion and reserve champion boar and champion and reserve champion gilt. He also won the junior show champion boar and gilt and reserve champion gilt.
In the spot breed division, Walker Romine won junior show reserve champion boar.
Walker Romine won open show champion and reserve champion Poland boar. In the junior show he won champion and reserve champion boar and champion gilt.
Weston Romine won the Poland open show champion and reserve champion gilt and the junior show reserve champion gilt.
In the open show and junior show crossbred division, Daniel Mallinckrodt won champion gilt and Nicole Brinker won reserve champion gilt.
Darby Schmidt won champion gilt in the Yorkshire breed open show and junior show.
This year’s judge was Kane Causemaker.
