Deadline to Register to Vote in June Special Election is May 9

The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming June 5 special election in Union is Wednesday, May 9.

Voters already registered in Franklin County who have moved or otherwise changed their address are urged to contact the county clerk’s office or other agency which handles voter registration and complete a change of address card.

Absentee ballots for the upcoming election will be available. Those who will not be able to appear at their assigned polling place June 5 for a permitted reason may cast an absentee ballot in person at the county clerk’s office, 400 E. Locust, Room 201, Union, during regular business hours and on Saturday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Ballots also are available upon written request. Requests must be made by May 30.
