Families are invited to the St. Louis Art Museum’s Arms and Armor galleries every Sunday in July between 1-4 p.m. to gain inspiration from Renaissance-era weaponry, elaborately designed helmets and gleaming suits of armor. After touring the galleries, families will have the chance to produce their own works of knightly art.

With family-friendly art projects, including creating a family crest and designing a personal piece of armor, visitors of all ages will be able to take home a hand-crafted reminder of the treasures on view at the Museum.

The Museum is also hosting a free, family-friendly night of knights on July 6 with its outdoor screening of “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” The band “A Little Knight Music” will start the festivities at 7 p.m. Food trucks will be on hand for refreshments, and the film begins at 9 p.m.

For more information about Family Sundays, Saturday workshops for families or the outdoor film series, people can visit slam.org.
