Registrations Under Way for County Silver Games

Registrations are being accepted for the annual Franklin County Silver Games, scheduled for Sept. 8-13 at various locations and venues across the county.

If registrations are received by Monday, Aug. 6, participants will receive a T-shirt, name badge, booklet or goodie bag.

Registrations may be mailed to Franklin County Silver Games Inc., P.O. Box 7, Union, 63084.

Registrations also will be accepted after Aug. 6. There will be no on-site registration, however.

Golf, power volleyball, bowling and miniature golf carry additional fees higher that the initial $15 cost to participate.

Scheduled events are as follows:

Saturday, Sept. 8

•Tennis, Phoenix Park, Washington, 8 a.m.

•Water volleyball: ages 65 and over, Washington YMCA, 8 a.m.; ages 50-64, Washington YMCA, 11:30 a.m.

Sunday, Sept. 9

•Cycling, Rotary Riverfront Trail, Washington, 8 a.m.

•Men’s volleyball, Union High School, 10:30 a.m.

•Women’s volleyball, Union High School, 10:30 a.m.

•Swimming, Washington YMCA, 2 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 10

•Golf, Wolf Hollow, Washington, 7:30 a.m.

•Miniature golf: Big Driver, Washington, 8 a.m.

•Shuffleboard singles, Union City Park tennis courts, 11 a.m.

•Canasta, St. Clair Community Center, noon.

•Bridge, St. Clair Knights of Columbus Hall, noon.

•Shuffleboard doubles, Union City Park tennis courts, 2 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

•BB gun shoot, Union Jaycees Park pavilion, 7:30 a.m.

•Billiards 8 ball, Town ‘N Country Lanes, Washington, 8 a.m.

•Billiards 9 ball, Town ‘N Country Lanes, Washington, 10 a.m.

•Bowling AM, Town ‘N Country Lanes, Washington, 11 a.m.

•Electronic darts, Sullivan Senior Center, 1 p.m.

•Horseshoes, Union City Park, Jaycees Fairgrounds, 4 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 12

•Track and field, Pacific High School, 6:30 a.m.

•Pickle ball, Pacific High School, 1 p.m.

•Dominoes Mexican Train, Tri County Senior Center, Pacific, 2 p.m.

•Washers, Washington American Legion Hall, 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 13

•Pinochle, single deck, St. Clair Knights of Columbus Hall, 7:30 a.m.

•Pinochle, double deck, St. Clair Knights of Columbus Hall, 7:30 a.m.

•Table tennis, Washington City Auditorium, 8 a.m.

•Dance contest, Gala Events Center, Union, 9:30 a.m.

•Picnic, Gala Event Center, Union, noon.
