City Library Now Accepting Book Donations

The Friends of Washington Public Library are now accepting book and magazine donations for its annual book sale Sept. 14-16 at the Washington City Auditorium.

Fiction and nonfiction books in hardback and paperback will be accepted.

Items that will not be accepted include magazines more than 2 years old, Reader’s Digest condensed books, textbooks and encyclopedias. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Washington Public Library.

Donations are accepted during regular library hours. Employees at the lower level circulation desk will direct donors to the Friend’s Room.

The book sale, which is the Friends of the Library’s biggest fundraiser, will be open to the public Sept. 15 and 16. The presale event is Friday, Sept. 14, and is for members only.

Membership applications can be obtained at the library.
