Full-time restaurant chef Vintage 1847 Restaurant – Stone Hill Winery • Direct responsibility for daily operations of the kitchen to ensure the highest quality of food preparation and the highest customer experience. • Efficiently manage all food and labor costs. • Recruit, train, schedule and manage kitchen staff, overseeing performance and productivity. • Utilize par sheets to minimize waste. • Maintain vendor relationships and order effectively. • Oversee weekly delivery inspections. • Accurately perform end-of-month inventory. • Ensure compliance by enforcing sanitation, safety standards and establishing procedures. • Plan menus, specials and establish profitable pricing. • Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance. • Maintain guest service standards and customer satisfaction. • Willing to work nights and weekends, varied work schedule. REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Culinary Arts preferred, 2+ years’ experience as head chef, ability to manage people and lead by example, attention to detail.
