PLZ Aeroscience is a growing aerosol packaging group with multiple locations. Last year, it was named to the St. Louis Business Journals Top 150 Privately Held Companies. PLZ manufactures custom aerosols for both the industrial and retail markets. Position Summary and Responsibilities The Changeover Specialist helps ensure the mechanical changeover operation of the production lines, working to attain safety, high quality and efficiency goals, with minimal down time. This position bears responsibility for changeovers and maintenance for the production lines. The Changeover Specialist is also responsible to anticipate & prepare in advance of changeovers, including for the gas house. This position also helps ensure the production line runs safely & is set up for maximum efficiency and quality; will accurately complete all paperwork, communicating to appropriate parties; perform periodic maintenance on the production lines; troubleshoot based upon determination of the root cause; and becoming a job trainer in all changeover areas of operations. Minimum Qualifications The Changeover Specialist must have prior experience working with mechanical items; preferably in manufacturing, responsible for changeovers. This position also requires excellent troubleshooting skills under pressure; excellent attention to detail; must be able to read and follow production instructions; and have great communication practices. The Changeover Specialist must also be highly reliable. Basic computing skills are also a must. Some overtime will be required each week.
