Looking for an entertaining way to spend an evening with your teen. How about a trip to West County to hear a book talk?

This Thursday, July 31, at 7 p.m., YA author John Weitz will present on “The Young World,” the first book in his new page-turning trilogy, a dystopian tale that’s getting great reviews.

Weitz has created a name for himself as director of “Twilight: New Moon,” and “The Golden Compass.”

The author/director will be at the Daniel Boone Branch of St. Louis County Library, 300 Clarkson Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. Following his presentation, Weitz will sign copies of his book. There is no charge to attend.
