“Divergent, “by Veronica Roth Cover

“Divergent, “by Veronica Roth, will take you on a breathtaking adventure. Through the twists and turns of the plot, you will grow to love the saucy characters.

In the novel, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to a particular virtue: Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent).

Tris, the main character, (a nickname for Beatrice), struggles with the choice she made picking Dauntless as her virtue and has to adapt quickly, very quickly.

As a Dauntless, Tris must undergo extreme physical tests and psychological simulations to show her worthiness.

Tris must determine who she can really trust and who just wants her dead. She also must deal with a fascinating romance that pops up out of nowhere.

She discovers a secret that will end in death if she doesn’t keep it hidden. Readers who enjoy this book will want to pick up the sequel, called “Insurgent.” It is as good as “Divergent.” A third book in the trilogy, “Allegiant,” will release in October.

A movie is being released on “Divergent” in March 2014.
