They can take a book to the pool—check one out at your local library. While you’re there, take part in some of the exciting programs Washington Public and Scenic Regional Library are offering for the kiddie-set. Here are two upcoming programs and details on a photo contest for kids the Missourian is sponsoring.

This Saturday, June 21, will be a zoo at Washington Public Library when Serengeti Steve brings “The Reptile Experience” to town. The program is from 10-11 a.m. Children can expect to get up close and personal with reptiles, arachnids, and insects. Creepy-crawly fun is in store for one and all.
