Augusta Elementary students enjoyed an early Thanksgiving meal and showed off their proper manners during a special lunch Friday, Nov. 18.

The students dressed up for the event, held in the school cafeteria. The lights were dimmed and music played in the background.

The students practiced proper table etiquette while enjoying their turkey lunch with all of the trimmings.

Augusta Elementary students have been in the process of learning proper table etiquette over the last several days leading up to the manners lunch.

Name cards were set up prior to the students’ arrival to show them where their assigned seat was for the lunch. Students were not allowed to begin eating until everyone at the table was served.

Augusta Principal Mary Robertson passed a microphone around the cafeteria and each student shared what they were thankful for.
