A St. Clair woman is facing a pair of juvenile-related charges following an incident reported to police last Sunday.

According to reports from the St. Clair Police Department, Jane Haddock, 47, was charged with Class C felony endangering the welfare of a child and misdemeanor supplying liquor to a minor.

Information stated that officers received a complaint on Jan. 26 stating that a 13-year-old boy had spent the night at Haddock’s residence on North Main Street and that someone had provided the juvenile with intoxicants.

An investigation revealed that two teenage boys, ages 13 and 14, had stayed overnight Saturday at Haddock’s residence with her and her 13-year-old son. The investigation revealed that on that Saturday afternoon, Haddock drove her son and another juvenile to a local Wal-Mart, and the youths stood outside the business and collected money from patrons under false claims they were collecting funds for a church.

After they collected about $20, reports state Haddock picked the boys up and drove them back to her residence. Later that day, one of the juveniles purchased marijuana from an unknown individual with the money that had been collected.

The investigation revealed that Haddock had purchased whiskey that day, gave it to the juveniles and that she was present while the children were drinking it and smoking the marijuana.

Police arrested Haddock at her residence. Bond was set at $10,000.
