All lanes on the new Lake Creek Bridge on Highway 47 near Dutzow in Warren County are now open. The 80-year-old bridge was replaced with a new 40-foot-wide bridge with two 12-foot lanes and 8-foot shoulders and is 138 feet long. Some minor work remains at the new bridge, including the installation of bicycle railings and sealing of the bridge deck surface, and installation of rock blanket underneath, to protect the bridge's abutments. Crews will also complete work at the nearby Highway 47/94 intersection, which includes milling and overlaying the intersection area and installing new pavement markings. During this final phase of the project, the contractor will be working predominantly at night to reduce delays to motorists, with temporary lane closures using flaggers from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. The contract called for work to be completed in October.
